Why Verluma exists
Everyone has the same drawer of receipts
Every small business owner we've talked to has one — a drawer, a folder, a shoebox of receipts they meant to sort, expenses they haven't entered, records their accountant is still waiting on. The work isn't hard. It's just tedious, easy to put off, and never quite becomes anyone's actual job.
Verluma exists to be that job. We take receipts as they actually are — out of order, half in an inbox and half in a glovebox — and turn them into records someone can use.
Filing paperwork with the government has the same shape: necessary, a little tedious, and worth handing to someone else. So we handle that too, for businesses that need it.

Founder, Verluma · North York, Ontario
Selman Desdemir started Verluma to take the unglamorous job of organizing receipts and financial records off small business owners' plates — done properly, at a fair, transparent price. Routine business filing assistance is available too, for businesses that need it. Verluma is based in North York and works with businesses across Ontario, with most services available remotely.

Whether it's a stack of receipts, a corporate document, or your business details for a filing, the same principle applies: your information is used only to complete the service you've requested, and never shared with third parties beyond what's needed to deliver it (for example, submitting a filing to the relevant government registry).
Once your work is delivered and approved, physical documents are returned or securely destroyed according to your preference — just let us know in advance. A confidentiality agreement (NDA) is available on request.
We describe our security practices plainly rather than making broad claims we can't back up: files are stored on standard, access-controlled cloud storage, and we don't claim formal security certifications we don't hold.
What Verluma is, and isn't
Verluma is:
- Primarily a receipt and expense record organization service
- Also an independent business filing assistance service
Verluma is not:
- A law firm, or a source of legal advice
- A CPA, accounting, or full-service bookkeeping firm
- A tax advisory firm, or a source of tax planning advice
- A digital agency or general business consultancy
- ServiceOntario, Corporations Canada, the CRA, or affiliated with any government body
